Who is Annika Kelly Strain?

Annika was a loving, happy and curious little girl, who did not let cancer get in her way. She loved time with her family and friends, going to the zoo and to the park, and playing at the beach in Tahoe. In the many days she spent at UCSF, she improved the lives of other patients and staff by spreading her positive energy. In Annika's memory, the AKS Foundation is dedicated to continuing to give to those patients.

Here is a link to some other things including emails that Mike sent out to Friends and Family during the ordeal.

We would like to thank and acknowledge the wonderful and caring staff of doctors, nurses and child life specialists of UCSF Children's Hospital who cared for Annika during these many months. She truly enjoyed her time at the hospital and clinic much more than anyone really should. In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions in Annika's memory be made to your favorite charity or one of those listed on her website www.annikastrain.com.
